Meet Our Student Entrepreneurs
William from Alabama
William's family has prayed for over a year for a business for him.  He celebrated his 13th birthday with a "Manhood Celebration."  It is a symbolic, yet purposeful event that marks leaving boyhood and entering manhood.  Learning how to providing for himself is all part of growing into a man and when William turned 14 years of age his parents helped him learn practically what that would look like.  His mom writes, "William's birthday is on Sunday and we are excited about presenting him with this business opportunity and seeing spiritual growth after praying about this for a year."  William named his business, "Sir William's Coffee and Teas."  To learn more about "Manhood Celebrations" check out Boy's Passage - Man's Journey by Brian Molitor.

Adam's Coffee of Happiness from New York
Our youngest Entrepreneur yet...Six-year old Adam started with the curriculum in August 2008 and one month later ordered his first box of coffee.  Now at the ripe old age of 7-years old his business is booming.  Adam shared this note with us, "I deposited my income into my new savings account. I told the bank person that i had a business. She wanted to buy some coffee so i did the presentation, and she's been a good customer ever since!"  Great Job Adam!  You've reminded us to always be prepared to share our business, you never know who might be your next customer!

Meet Cool Chicks Coffee Company's CEO's Kayla (10) and Emma (7) from Mississippi
Kayla and Emma's mom met us at the NW Florida Homeschool Convention.  She didn't purchase right away, but thoughtfully investigated the potential of this business curriculum for her children.  When she was ready this was her note to us "I see lots of potential and can't wait to get our coffee today.  I think you've really done a great job putting together a well thought out curriculum and I really do love it that we are teaching the kids to give to charity or tithe.  My children tithe regularly to church, but now they can see how they can do much more and be able to also add missionary families etc to this giving category." It's been 5 months and business is still thriving, despite a move from Pensacola to Mississippi.  And what's even more exciting is that the "Cool Chicks" of coffee have encourage several other friends to start their own coffee business.  I'm proud of you girls and all your hard work and enthusiasm.

Jackie is a Black Belt from Florida

She wrote in telling us her business name: "
The name for my business it is called "Jacka-Bean" and it has a coffee bean in the middle and the bean is a nose for a smiley face."   She added, "Oh and I already sold three bags two to my grandma and one to my aunt and I also have an e-mail for my business."  Way to go Jackie - keep us up-to-date on all your success!

Deacon & Anna from Florida
Meet two children that are entrepreneurs at heart!  They have three businesses, read their story...We have "one business selling Purebred Bantam chickens (and eggs), and another selling red wiggler fishing worms and their "castings" (poop).  The castings make great soil amendment for gardens or houseplants.  So, we'll just sell Early Bird Coffee, Early Bird Chickens, and Early Bird Worms.  We'll make different logo/stickers for each product."  Are we inspired yet?!

Alyssa from South Carolina
Alyssa started her business on August 5th and has already sold 15 bags and is only halfway through her "Prospect List."  "I hope to sell the rest of what I have on hand (11 bags) before Monday."  Her mom writes, "She is enjoying the process and is learning a lot about talking to people about it.  It is not as easy as she thought.  People love the fact that she is doing this.  When asked what Alyssa is working toward this is what she shared.  "I'm active in the local Pony Club and I have 3 big rallies this spring, I was hoping to purchase some of my own horse related items and help pay for some of the rallies.  I compete in different events like jumping, dressage and cross country." Alyssa, I'm sure mom and dad are please with your efforts to support your own hobby.  Your a great testament to a mature and responsible young lady.  Congratulations!
